SAFETY AT SEA

One of OSASA’s objectives is to  “encourage improvement in standards of safety of small craft, their operation, navigation and passage-making”.  In this section we are highlighting the extensive work done by the Cruising Club of America, world leaders in advancing Safety at Sea within the worldwide offshore and ocean cruising communities, to whom we are indebted for permission to publish this information and these safety links to their website.

This is best achieved by following links to the Safety and Seamanship  section on the CCA website where a host of safety topics are listed. They are all worthy articles and well worth reviewing but we have selected some below as being recommended for their coverage of important topical subjects or aspects of small craft safety not found elsewhere, e.g. the role of leadership in an emergency.
